Junie was the first non-Japanese and the first female in the management of the Corporate Banking Division, Asia Oceania in a Japanese financial institution. In 2018, she successfully pivoted to fulfil her desire to be more socially impactful and joined the community care and social service sector. She is currently CEO of Methodist Welfare Services, (MWS) a large charitable organisation in Singapore serving close to 9,000 beneficiaries. MWS is a strong advocate in person centric care and looks to alleviating poverty holistically through its three clusters - family services, community eldercare and residential care.
Apart from that the former president of the Financial Women's Association is also the current president of SCWO (Singapore Council of Women's organisations) and a member of the Council of Board Diversity and Family Violence Taskforce.
A Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), she chairs the Board Appointment and Mentorship Committee on the SID council and curates the annual Nominations Committee Chair conversations. She is Chair of Singapore Kindness Movement. Her other board roles include Singapore Art Museum and NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
